BioDiesel
Biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel, produced from domestic and renewable resources. It doesn't contain any petroleum, but it can be blend at any level with petroleum diesel to create a blend of biodiesel.
This blend can be used in a regular diesel engine with little or no modifications.
Biodiesel is actually based on a chemical process called transesterification. This proces leaves behind two products, biodiesel and glycerin (a valuable byproduct used for soaps and other products).
Biodiesel is not the same as raw vegetable oil. This because the biodiesel must be produced to strict industry specifications in order to insure proper performance.
Why should you use Biodiesel?
Well Biodiesel is a blend that is better for the environment because it is made from renewable recourses and has lower emissions compared to regular diesel (petroleum diesel). It's less toxic then table salt and biodegrades as fast as sugar. Since it is made in the USA from renewable resources such as soybeans, its use decreases our dependence on foreign oil and contributes to our own economy.
How do I get Biodiesel?
The biodiesel is available nationwide. it can be purchased directly from biodiesel producers and marketers, petroleum distributors or at a public pump.
